Villas Gaia is a decent stop on the way to Drake Bay, offering clean and spacious accommodations with air conditioning, which is a blessing in the humid rainforest. The bird watching around the bar and pool area is a highlight, although the dining options could be improved and the inclusive package seemed limiting. It's a good place to rest before heading to the beautiful Corcovado National Park, but don't expect a luxury experience.
Villas Gaia is a decent stop between Quepos and Drake Bay with large, comfortable bungalows and excellent birdwatching. While the food was decent and the staff were exceptionally helpful, I found the noise from the nearby highway disruptive, especially at night. If you're looking for a quiet base, this might not be it, but it’s a good place for a short stay while traveling south.
Villas Gaia was a decent stop on our way from Quepos to Drake Bay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, which made our stay more enjoyable. However, the food didn't quite live up to the 'gourmet' label they advertised, and the inclusive package limited our options. The location near the coastal road isn't the jungle getaway we expected, yet it's convenient for spotting some amazing birds. Overall, a good place for a brief stay, especially if you're heading to Drake Bay.
Villas Gaia is a suitable stop to break up the journey between Quepos and Drake Bay, offering clean and comfortable bungalows. However, the dining experience wasn't as gourmet as advertised, and the rooms could be impacted by noise from the nearby highway. The friendly service and amazing birdwatching opportunities were highlights, but I think staying in Drake Bay for a few nights would be a better choice for exploring Corcovado.
Villas Gaia served as a decent pit stop on our way from Quepos to Drake Bay. Although the rooms were clean and comfortable, the dining experience fell short of our gourmet expectations, and the proximity to the coastal road was something to consider. The birdwatching opportunities were fantastic, and the staff were warm and helpful, making our stay enjoyable overall.
